City Government is Committed to Providing Easy Access to Public Facilities

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung reviewed the pelican crossing facility on the east side of Cikini Commuter Line Station, Central Jakarta.

The provision of this facility is a rapid response from the Jakarta Provincial Government to public input and complaints regarding ease of access to enter Cikini Station.

"We quickly respond to public input and suggestions. The problem was simple, but it was not being resolved immediately. I cooperated with the Head of Transportation Agency and the Assistant of Development to resolve this," Pramono said, Monday (9/15).

Pelican Crossing at Cikini Station Receives Positive Responses

Pramono also emphasized the importance of maintaining the pelican crossing area to prevent congestion. He requested that online motorcycle taxis, taxis, and other vehicles refrain from dropping off or picking up passengers near the crossing area.

Personnel will be alerted in the area to prevent congestion. Pramono added that Jakarta Provincial Government will cooperate with PK KAI to jointly resolve any issues in the future.

"I hope that this small thing can be useful for society," Pramono hoped.

Related to the construction of a pedestrian bridge plan, Pramono added that Jakarta Provincial Government will re-evaluate the plan. However, he emphasized the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to providing convenience for the public so they can properly utilize public facilities.

Meanwhile, one of the commuter line users, Zultri (63), welcomed the pelican crossing provided by the Jakarta Provincial Governor at the Cikini Station. He assessed that this facility very useful and made it easier for the public to access the station entrance.

"Previously, I followed people jumping over the Station fence since the entrance was too far. Now the pelican crossing eases us to access the facility," he admitted.
